The Modified Nationals is back! 22nd-24thMay 2009 Ok guys and girls, some excellent news! We have secured a place at the Modified Nationals again this year after being unable to cover it last year! For people who are unaware of this event its a modified car show (1/1 scale) held over 2 days at the East of England Showground near Peterborough. Its a massive event with various displays going on through the day plus a night club and fairground in the evening for people who are camping. Its an interesting couple of days with plenty to see (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) plus a chance to meet up with other members from the forum and do a spot of bashing to boot! Its not a serious race meeting, but a weekend aimed at having fun, meeting new people and catching up with old friends. We are looking to set-out a basic track with a few ramps (nothing silly) and to have some controlled bashing. There will be no races or trophies as this can be off putting to new members, plus there are enough other events through out the year to meet your racing needs. Its a 2/3 day event which means people wanting to come for the whole weekend can camp on the friday and/or saturday night. People can attend the both days without camping if they wish. Anyone wanting to do only one day, either the saturday or the sunday can buy a one day pass accordingly. Anyone who attended the first one we did 2 years ago will tell you its a fantastic weekend with plenty to see; ranging from lots of modified cars, motorbike displays, in car audio stands, to pole dancing displays from some of the lovely ladies also at the show! The event is on the may bank holiday weekend with ticket prices below. These will however be heavily discounted for all members who will be attending and running at the show.
