The Modified Nationals is back! 22nd-24thMay 2009 Ok guys and girls, some excellent news! We have secured a place at the Modified Nationals again this year after being unable to cover it last year! For people who are unaware of this event its a modified car show (1/1 scale) held over 2 days at the East of England Showground near Peterborough. Its a massive event with various displays going on through the day plus a night club and fairground in the evening for people who are camping. Its an interesting couple of days with plenty to see (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) plus a chance to meet up with other members from the forum and do a spot of bashing to boot! Its not a serious race meeting, but a weekend aimed at having fun, meeting new people and catching up with old friends. We are looking to set-out a basic track with a few ramps (nothing silly) and to have some controlled bashing. There will be no races or trophies as this can be off putting to new members, plus there are enough other events through out the year to meet your racing needs. Its a 2/3 day event which means people wanting to come for the whole weekend can camp on the friday and/or saturday night. People can attend the both days without camping if they wish. Anyone wanting to do only one day, either the saturday or the sunday can buy a one day pass accordingly. Anyone who attended the first one we did 2 years ago will tell you its a fantastic weekend with plenty to see; ranging from lots of modified cars, motorbike displays, in car audio stands, to pole dancing displays from some of the lovely ladies also at the show! The event is on the may bank holiday weekend with ticket prices below. These will however be heavily discounted for all members who will be attending and running at the show. i am all over this event!! however, and no offence if any of them are you wives, but those two girls next to the real cars (rc!!) need to be improved!!!

Any of you guys camped there before, just wondered what the camp area is like as i might have my caravan by then, was wondering if your allowed BBQ's and generators (i guess theres no electric hook up points!!)?

Yeah we all camped there last time, and Dodgyrog ordered the pizza and got it delivered for us on the Friday night. Top man!!!
Don't remember seeing any caravans though bud and we are still waiting on confirmation of the camp area for this year. There wasn't any leccy hook up points though, not that I can remember anyway, sorry dude. BBq's and genny wont be a problem, had a couple of BBQ's last time and the noise from a genny wont bother anyone, just think of all the modded cars with there uber sound systems. We camped there before, massive site. No hook up ppoints as far as im aware but BBq's are ok and so should the generator (check the photos as they are from the show 2 years ago) Hope you can make it dude as its a great weekend.

Cheers guys, i didn't really expect there to be hook ups, was just hopeing!! Yeah i guess all the other noise would pretty much drown out a small genny!!

will try and make it if not working will have to dust the beetle and the fg beetle of and the mcd monster truck of as in the nans garage at the moment so not been run for months so have to strip them down over the next few weaks as got some time off will catch up with u all soon or will try to

i just hope wherever we are were not right by that VIBE truck again and the arena is a little larger this time.
i carnt remember how many corsa's did we see blow up again in the camping area LOL -------------------- i started with nothing now i have somthing i proved them all they were wrong so glad i kept fighting and i never stop trying bin waiting to sing for so long my wittle song |
