Doverbashers Winter Series

Hi guys

I know quite a few of you out there don't do racing but incase there are any out there that wanna do a bit and start at the low level, we run a series at DB called the TeamDBss . . it's for all newbies on the racing scene

We basically run it along side a club meet and then breakdown our own scores from there results . . this is our second winter series and we get nthing but good feedback from all members and the guys who run the tracks.

This year we are doing our event at KMRC which is just outside Maidstone . . so if you fancy a bit of fun racing you will always be welcome.

First round is tomorrow but then there is 1 more in November,1 in December and 2 in January.

Interclub Meet/ The Results

Well guys

Who could have believed the weekend we have had, saturday pretty much rained all day and sunday not a drop just lots of sunshine.

I would like to thank all who turned up and raced, it's got to have been the most fun i have had all year and i didn't even race. All the races were great to watch.
The Monster truck final was one of the closest i've seen . . poor old Andy caught the last corner on the last lap which held his truck up long enough for Ben and Nick to push him from 2nd to 4th.

Kieron took no prisoners with his dad's Losi 8T rtr in the truggy final and Ollie took 2nd with his Mini Hyper ST with Scotty driving the Hyper ST to 3rd.

Mr Thorpe was very calm and collected out in front with the buggy, Andy was driving on the edge but was catching only to pull out with problems leaving Stuart to take 2nd and Lee to bring home 3rd.

The 1/5 scales was my funniest to watch sooo much power but no grip . . the poor guys were struggling but made it look graceful, Ben kept his head and didn't make hardly any mistakes but Nigel and Ollie and Nick were trying to make up the time but the grip was letting them down.

The tag team races

After a hard fought race Team 1 progressed to the final

Team 4 ... B.Bolton/L.May
Team 5 ... S.Jones/S.Newson
Team 6 ... M.Williams/A.Newnham
S.Jones had no luck all day but came good in this event, he was first into the pits for the change over but problems for S.Newson cost them the win and Matt/Andy took the win. Team 6 progressed to the final.

Team 7 ... O.Green/S.Dogg
Team 8 ... M.Thorpe/B.Hunt
Team 9 ... S.Easton/K.Halstead
Kieron had to run this alone as Stu Easton had no cars left to run and all was going great for Kieron, he was out in front and came over the quads and hit a tyre and broke something . . leaving M.Thorpe to take the win for Team 8.

3. Team 6 .. M.Williams/A.Newnham

This was all about the first half of the race Ben,Nigel and Matt were all going to be out first in there HPI Savages but Matt couldn't get his started so Andy got to the grid and the race started . . 5 laps in and Andy came into the pits for Matt to take over he had got a nice lead for Matt to extend but the gremlins struck and the Savage only managed another lap, M.Thorpe and S.Dogg were left to cahse down the fallen leader and then to battle it out for 1st and 2nd with M.Thorpe eventually coming out on top . . truely a fine race by all.
