im hard on the pennies at the moment... it will probably take me 5 weeks of not spending anything to get enough money for some fuel (IMG:http://www.rc-extreme.co.uk/forum/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

BTW if its a race mix doesnt it have lower oil?

Both Byrons & O'Ds are race mix, with about 11% oil. They both do a Buggy & MT mix with extra oil to cater for the extra stresses (loaded and unloaded) of bashing and racing

well i was using tornado

and i changed to byron and WOOTWTFOMFG!

its amazing stuff, it will shoot off in to the sunset with plenty of smoke pouring out whereas with tornado i was overheating it and it wouldnt tune umungst other troubles, but with byron it is easy to tune and is very easy to work with

just though id add my comments to this.

ive ran modeltech 16 and 25% duraglow.

tornado 25% 8% oil and 25% 12% oil (mt and buggy mix)

and im currently running byrons 25% 11% oil

the modeltech was absolute rubbish, maybe because of the 'duraglow' blend, tornado 8% oil wasnt all that good, allthough it was better than the modeltech, it was hard to tune, not much smoke when tuning and overheating probs (s25).

however, the tornado mt and buggy mix wasnt half bad, lots of smoke, good temps much better than the standard tornado stuff.(s25)

now im on byrons as my lhs stopped stocking tornado, and i have to say, byrons is the best of the lot, good smoke ,easy to tune, cool temps (im currently having trouble keeping my mach427 over 190f) i ran this in my trx2.5r and now in my mach427 both have performed brilliantly and internally they loook in good condition, not much staining unlike tornado.

*newbie, first post*

Hi all, ive got a savage 21 and a thunder tiger ts4n sports and im using Tornado fuel for both of them, Is that the correct fuel im using? If i can also add, the Exhaust fumes STING my living EYES out if im close to the car while tuning the air flow, is that Normal for everyone else? Both RC cars are new and im still trying to understand the air flow and how the fuel systems work together. Only problem is the Fumes and my poor eyes!!

Hey dude! Tornado is a good fuel and a lot of peoples prefered choice! However, there are many popular brands and people all have their favourites. If you're happy with its performance then stick with it mate (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
As for it stinging your eyes, could be you've still got your engines running a little rich and are getting plenty of smoke! Not a problem, it stings my eyes too and probably most others (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Welcome to the forum by the way (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumbsup.gif)

Hi
I use odonnells 20% in my buggy and my savage x savvy pulls wheelies from standstill even when running rich tends to eat spur gears for breakfast though (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

cheers
